Wearing Shorts While Riding

Post by 360max » Thu Jun 20, 2013 11:27 pm

How many of you guys wear shorts when riding? I see quite a few out there with shorts, but how do their legs handle the heat from engine?

Ooooo, the hand wringers will be onto this one!

Like Craig says, the airflow will keep your legs cool so no worries. Watch out for stone chips or large bugs though, they hurt when they hit your knees with jeans on, so with shorts on it'll really sting.

I've worn shorts in the past, but I was young and stupid then. Now i'm just old and stupid but wouldn't go out on the bike without textiles at least.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to anyone I have not offended, please be patient, I will get to you shortly.

Well I reckon my opinion counts on this one as I've been the silly c*nt that's went out on the bike without protective gear and fell off.....

So on that note any c*nt that does it is a silly c*nt :D

They deserve to fall off and get hurt real bad, then they won't be so silly next time.

I'd rather be hot and sweaty than be picking bits of road from my knees.

I've ridden in shorts, and probably will do again.
I know it's stupid , but then so is drinking to excess, along with wanking on the top deck of buses.
Doesn't stop me doing those, either.
As for the heat - if you're sat still and the fan comes on, you'll get hot.
