The owner pointed out that his main jet, a dynojet set of #155s (roughly equal to a Keihin #170/172) was a bit on the rich side and figured the static air dyno didn't do the AFR readings justice.

I don't know how my 9s compare for dyno charts, but for fun, I do know the approximate AFR readings from the E. My main jets are lower (leaner) than OEM stock due to the elevation of where my bike is at, so the AFR on the mains for his is lower even with the altitude for mine; his readings from 7,200 RPM to redline are vastly richer. Conversely, my JN at +0.8mm makes the region from 4K - 7.5K RPM much richer than his readings at steady throttle, let alone full throttle, which leads me to believe his JNs would benefit from a shimming.

Hmm. :-k

Never felt the need to know the actual hp "number" my 9 puts out. but it's nice to see 135 at the wheel.

Good stuff.

Agree about numbers a bit, unless everyone is on same type of dyno , never mind conditions, fuel used etc , it’s all a case of if it’s running sweet, like e’s do, ,,as he spent a fair chunk of time , which is actually needed, to find above and below the best settings , then it’s pub bragging rights only. Never mind who can fire off the line quickest :smt023
I am not far from fitting a full racing line akrapovoc system on the f,, after I remove two broken studs. :( ,, so as they are totally different bore size and not crossover tubes, will give a verdict at a later date, but they quote 12bhp max increase at certain revs...before jetting etc
They had shitloads of heat and penetrating oil , etc , so waiting for a mate at weekend with a mig welder , to weld the remaining thread with a new nut to loosen em,, [-o<

Firebeast,

Can you measure the outer diameter of your mid-pipe? Just curios. The OEM mid-pipes on the E/F are 60 MM/2.5" OD, whereas the new E I have, with a full Muzzy system uses a much smaller 2.0" OD.

Actually e, you are meaning the link pipe to silencer I take it?
The aky Supersport line system which kwak copied for the e/f had a 52mm bore, with matching 52mm race can,, thin walled obviously, unlike the o.e. This racing line ( the evolution version is Ti pipes, but same thing otherwise )is tapered at the headers and runs a 60mm bore silencer , as do most of their racing line, but I have already posted in the past about its the header design that counts, the link pipe and silencer don’t make next too much difference when you change sizing, according to mss kwak dyno tuber, who went to arrow when developing their bsb bikes.
He said he saw like 1bhp Max difference, all the power came from header design and sizing.
